 We have a passion for the past, and we guarantee our accounts anything but dull.

Faded Banner Publications is not just any publishing house. Our books bring to life the ghosts of the past - and we shine the light on real ghosts as well.

  Located in rural Bryan, Ohio, Faded Banner Publications was founded in 1997. Our initial thrust involved books based on journals and letters written by common soldiers in uncommon situations. We let the Civil War soldiers tell their stories in their own words - and enhance these first-person accounts with maps, illustrations, period photographs, and expert narration based on solid research. In recent years we have ventured into true crime and the paranormal, as well as greeting cards and prints with a Civil War theme.

Real life encounters with the unexplained

We've expanded our focus to include books by journalist, historian and author Don Allison exploring the paranormal, especially as it relates to our history and the pivotal Civil War battle of Gettysburg. These are not collections of ghost stories, but represent serious explorations of the paranormal based on Don's personal experience and his research into scientific theories in the field.
